I entered this costume I made to and I placed in the Fianalists. I won a few prizes they will send me and some item I can use in the game.
The first picture is Halloween 2006, and the second is at the same party in 2007. We won first place both times. We won a plastic knife, 20$, and a DVD in '06, and a framed 100 Dollar Bill in '07. Whoopee!

Humidity,Cajuns, Alligators...OH MY!

So we are enjoying our time in Louisiana. We went to this little town called Jennings, and went to pet alligators. I was a little hesitant to let the babies touch the alligators, but the lady said that they are cloroxed. (Is that a word?) Anyways, one little finger touch won't hurt anyone, right? If the alligator was any bigger, I wouldn't have let them, but what can 12 inches of alligator do?

BYU Idaho and Empty Nesters

It was a long drive after being in the car with the babies but we finally made it to BYU Idaho.

Fire Dancers at the Luau to start off the new year.

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E ...

Matthew wanted one last party at Disneyland before going off to BYU Idaho!!!

The new submarine ride. Jen thought it would be worth waiting for, but the 2 hour wait is only worth it if you are 3.

A crawler and a sitter

Berkleigh has coordinated her legs and hands and can really get places. She isn't fast yet, but still... she can go where she wants to go. After she gets to the toy of her choice, she can go from crawling to sitting! Amazing! I need to get those plug covers and move our dvds when we get home!

First Skateboard lesson... and Rollercoaster Ride?

The twins had their first skateboarding lesson. They didn't have to do much. Tyson did all the work. They did tell me that they learned to hold on for dear life and they need to be able to stand before jumping onto a skateboard.

The Utah Group

So here’s our first post on the family blog. We haven’t done anything big lately to tell you about, but I can update you on our lives…..

Chris just started a new job doing Tech Support for Dell computers. He is still in training which consists of his boss pointing out important aspects of a computer, such as the keyboard, and then telling funny stories. Not too bad to bare when getting paid for it. The down side is that he has to be there at 6:00 AM every morning. He handles much better than I do when I have to be at the hospital at 5:45 for clinicals. Hopefully once training is done he can change his schedule. Chris recently had a birthday, a big 24 years. He says he actually feels old because he is in the “mid-twenties” category now. We went to see Transformers for his birthday and to eat at one of his favorite places, Wingers.

I am still working night shifts at the hospital on the cardiovascular unit. I recently took the state boards to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and passed! I studied hard for it and was excited that I passed because half of my questions dealt with medications I never heard of! I am debating looking for a new job now that I have my LPN. I don’t love my job now (an understatement), but I am not sure I will find a new one that works as well with my schedule. Since I have had more free time this summer than I have had since 8th grade, I chose to spend it becoming obsessed with TLC shows, like “Little People, Big World” and “What Not to Wear.” School starts in just over a week, and I’m getting slightly depressed.

Thunder is doing fine and getting quite fat. He enjoys sleeping on top of cabinets, eating yogurt, sleeping in the bathtub, playing fetch, and sleeping in the bathroom sink. Yesterday we took him to the park. We do put a leash on him, even though he has never tried to run from us when we take him outside, but just in case. Of course he refuses to walk when the leash is on, so we have to carry him everywhere. At the park a very large black man was so amazed at how much of a “good looking cat” he was, he planted a big wet kiss right on his head. Luckily, Thunder didn’t seem to mind. It was a little weird for Chris, who had Thunder on his lap at the time.

Happy Birthday Chris!!

Yesterday was my brother's birthday. He is such a good brother to me. We used to fight when we were younger, but we don't anymore, and I am so proud to call him my brother. He is super smart, works hard, is a great uncle, and married a wonderful person. The only thing I would change is that he likes PCs and can't stand Macs. What?
Happy Birthday Chris.
I love you!
